BYLAWS
FULL CHARTER APPLICATION
Palmetto Scholars Academy is a SC State Public Charter School for gifted and talented students in the 6th through 8th grades, adding 9th grade in Fall 2011.
The following are standing PSA Board Committees:
Academic Excellence – Assist Curriculum Consultant, Dr. Shelagh Gallagher and Principal J. Robb Streeter in assuring adherence to the educational goals and objectives of the Charter, and helps advise the Board on all matters regarding the curriculum
Finance – Assist the Finance Chair and Accounting Manager to assure appropriate management of resources and reporting to all required entities
Communications – Works to notify the community of the opportunity to attend PSA, and keeps the internal and external communities PSA serves informed of PSA’s mission, activities and achievements
Fund Development – Oversees all fundraising activities
Facilities – Oversees the current facility and plans for future school location
Volunteer Enrichment Programs – Oversees recruitment , planning, and partnering with organizations of higher learning, high technology, business, science and the arts to support the educational goals of PSA as outlined in the mission statement
