Hello PSA Supporters,
We are pleased to share our funding plan to equip the new school. Our bonding process generated the funds to build the brick and mortar school. Anything going into the school such as classroom furniture, lab equipment, computers, white boards, athletic equipment, bleachers, etc. must be paid through additional funding. To meet those needs, the board approved the following support structure for donations. Click here for a list of prioritized needs [pdf].
Update 1/26/2016: Regarding our fundraising, we have received over $62,000. This has enabled us to purchase the bleachers and needed furniture. In the next few weeks, I will have a section that will highlight additional items that we hope to obtain. For instance, we are looking to install lockers in the band room to store instruments. This will be $20,000. Also, we will be receiving a substantial number of desktop computers from the US State Department that have had the hard drive removed. If we purchase quality drives, we can place over 80 computers in the building. This will equip our second computer lab and give multiple stations to teachers. This will require $8,000. More information to come in the weeks ahead.

Did you know that charter schools in the SC Public Charter School District receive lower per-pupil funding than other public schools in the state? Did you know that charter schools do not receive any funding for facilities or transportation?
Palmetto Scholars Academy produces outstanding results while being among the lowest funded public schools in the United States, but we need your help to continue to provide an outstanding education for our students. Will you help us by making a donation?
If you would like to speak with someone about ways you can help us, please contact the principal at (843) 300-4118. Thank you!
